WE ARE SASPI:

David Mike Terry
INVESTIGATING THE PARANORMAL

David E. Chavez -
I was born in San Gabriel, Ca in the early 70’s and currently reside in Maricopa, AZ with my wife of 19 years and our 4 children. I earned a Bachelors of Applied Science in Electronic Engineering from ITT Technical Institute in Anaheim, CA in 1995.
What got me into paranormal investigating was my interest in the TV show Ghost Hunters. I was always in between being a skeptic and a believer but by watching GH I found myself moving more to the believing side. Once we started SASPI my eyes were wide open. Some of the things I have seen, heard and felt have just blown my mind. I now know that I was drawn to this field for a reason. A reason I do not quite understand yet but I sure am enjoying the ride to that understanding.
I have started using dousing rods with great results. I still use my scientific background in my approach to investigations. One of the main reasons why I love this field is that there are no experts. We are all students learning during each investigation.
One of the things that separate SASPI from other paranormal groups is that we do not go into an investigation to debunk. We go in with an open mind. All we hope to do is collect data to support whether there is possible paranormal activity in a location or not.

I graduatued from the University of Arizona in 1981 with a BS in Geology. I’m currently working as a Quality Engineer for a company I’ve been with for a little over 23 years. I was raised with Christian values and church attendances. On my journey through this life, I have lost people that I dearly love. With time, experience, and the exposure to some very key people in my life, spiritual growth followed. I’ve pretty much always been interested in ghosts & the spirit world, and after some of my own personal experiences, and watching some of the shows on TV of paranormal investigators in action, I realized that with a few pieces of equipment, I could do this too. I have realized that I have a passion for this, and feel very good about doing it, so that’s one piece to why I’m doing this. Also, I want to learn from my own experiences, and that’s the other piece to why I’m doing this – to learn. SASPI does not charge for investigating, and we are happy to share our findings with anyone interested. We do not go into an investigation to debunk. The goals we have for any investigation are to learn as much about the paranormal as we can from the investigation, find out as much as we can about the location and who may be there, and help others as much as we can along the way.
